The chance pet

One morning, Jojo and his mother woke up to strange shrieks from the bathroom. Jojo's mother opened the bathroom door to investigate. She found a tiny squirrel lying on the bathroom floor. Jojo and mother were very surprised. The little squirrel looked frightened. The squirrel fell from the bathroom exhaust window, the squirrels had made a nest there!
Father helped Jojo pick up the little squirrel, he lay a plastic cover on the bathroom floor. The baby squirrel climbed into the cover. Father held up the cover and brought it out into the garden. He quietly lay the cover in the garden. Mother brought pieces of nuts and some milk for the baby squirrel. Jojo wanted to keep the little squirrel as his pet. Mother said, the squirrel was too little and needed a safe place to rest. Jojo built a nest with some dry grass and a pair of torn old woolen socks.
The squirrel nestled in its new nest comfortably. Jojo was very happy and mother was very proud of Jojo for being kind to little animals.
